Serge Rompza
Serge Rompza is a German graphic designer and art director based in Berlin. He studied at HBKsaar and graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam. He founded NODE Berlin Oslo together with Norwegian designer Anders Hofgaard in 2003. Alongside his studio practice, he lectures and conducts workshops at art and design academies in Europe and the United States.
Working across visual identities, publications, exhibitions, spatial communication and digital platforms, NODE develops context-specific design systems for cultural, scientific and public institutions. The studio has been commissioned by Haus der Kulturen der Welt, the MIT Program in Art, Culture and Technology, Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA), Diller Scofidio + Renfro, Nobel Peace Center, Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt, Deutsches Historisches Museum, Manifesta, DAAD, Goethe-Institut, ZKM Karlsruhe, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Museum Ludwig, MUNCH Museum, the National Museum of Norway, Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art, Canadian Centre for Architecture, Deutsche Bank and the United Nations Environment Programme, among others.
